Carlyle Presbyterian Church

Pastor Steve Traw’s message Sunday, “The Last 7 Plagues,” was taken from Revelation Chapter 15.

David Ensminger and Merrill Hodgden presided over the Second Sunday Advent Candlelighting service on “Joy.”

Pianist, Myrna Wildschuetz played “Do You Hear What I Hear?” for the prelude and Rita Sanders played “O Come, O Come, Emmanuel” for the offertory.

The church fellowship dinner and gift exchange will be at noon Sunday.

Christmas Eve service is at 6 p.m. Dec. 24.

Bible Study with Pastor Traw on the book of John is at 3 p.m. Tuesday.

Carlyle Country Club

Myrna Wildschuetz hosted the Carlyle Ladies Country Club in her home for a Christmas luncheon and meeting.     

Attending were Pauli Hawk, Joanne McIntyre, June O’Dell, Rita Sanders, Joyce Sneed, Cheryl Klingensmith, Leanne Brixey, Alice Dowell, Sharon Grisier, Pat Shields and special guest Lucy Wildschuetz.

A motion to keep the same officers for 2020 was approved. They are President Myrna Wildschuetz, Vice President Phyllis Loomis, Treasurer Pauli Hawk and Secretary Cheryl Klingensmith.

Sharon Grisier and June O’Dell each won a door prize.

June O’Dell will host the January meeting.
